About
We find the copy. You protect the original.
Fjerne exists because a clone store does its damage under someone else's name, and the store it copied is usually the last to find out.
Why we built it
A clone store takes a real store's theme, photos and product text, puts them on a domain like brandname-outlet.shop, and runs ads. Orders never arrive. The shopper blames the brand they thought they were buying from, and the chargebacks, the one-star reviews and the support emails land on the store that was copied.
Getting a clone removed is possible, but slow if you do it alone. You have to find the copy, prove it is a copy, work out who hosts it, who registered its domain, who takes its payments and who runs its ads, and then write a report for each of them in the form each one wants. Fjerne does all of that except the last step, which stays with you.
The name
Fjerne is Norwegian and Danish for "to remove". The shield in our logo shows the idea: a store, a photo being lifted out of it, and the protection around both. In the wordmark the F and J stand apart from the rest, because they are the two letters people tend to skip.
How we work
The rules we work by
We assist. The store owner files.
Every report is sent by the store owner, in their own name. We never file on anyone's behalf. The owner owns the rights, signs that the report is accurate, and sees every report before it goes.
We state what we measured.
"92% of the text on its home page also appears on yours" is a fact anyone can check. Who is behind a site is not something we can measure, so we never claim it.
A copy has to earn the label.
A reseller shares product names and photos with the brand it sells. A site needs a strong signal (the brand's own tracking IDs, its product handles, a page still naming its address) before we call it a likely copy.
Nothing goes public by itself.
A site goes on the public watchlist only after a person checks it by hand and chooses to publish it. Every entry says "authorization unverified" and how to ask for a correction.
We are not a law firm.
We do not give legal advice. When something needs a lawyer, we say so.
